Primary School Beyond Limitations

For students aged 4-9. For young minds — and wide open hearts. We don’t teach them to sit still. We teach them to stay curious.

What to Expect?

At School Beyond Limitations, Primary School unfolds in two stages. Both are built on the same foundation: children learn best when they feel safe, curious, and inspired. As they grow, their focus and independence increase — and our approach adapts accordingly.

Lower Primary: In the early years, children need a learning environment that feels playful, safe, and supported. Since their attention span at the computer is shorter, online sessions are designed to be brief, engaging, and varied — with plenty of space in between for creativity, movement, and exploration.

Upper Primary: As children mature, they develop more focus and independence. Online learning sessions become longer and more in-depth, complemented by individual mentoring. This helps students build confidence, set goals, and take greater ownership of their learning journey, while staying connected to a supportive community.

A Day in the Life of Primary Student

Morning Kick-Off Lesson

Each day starts with a 60 minute online session led by a qualified SBL teacher. The lesson sparks curiosity with inspiring activities, completed offline with adult support, aiming to nurture all nine intelligences, as outlined by Howard Gardner.

Mid-Morning
Check-In

Before lunch, the children will connect for a 30-minute session online to share the results of their learning outcome from that morning. They will then engage in a range of fun activities which will define the learning journey for their afternoon.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Children soon realise that learning takes place everywhere and at any time and are invited to further develop their competencies beyond these online lessons.

Upper Primary

  • Our upper primary school children engage in a longer morning session:
  • Extended Lessons – 3 hours per day for deeper learning and focus;
  • Afternoon Classes – Additional sessions in GermanEnglish, and Maths to strengthen academic foundations;
  • Organic Learning Pathway – Encouraging students to build knowledge naturally, ensuring they feel confident and prepared for their next steps in Secondary School.

Self-directed and organized afternoon studies

During online lessons your child will engage in different activities that will inspire their interest in learning. They will also choose activities designed to advance their reading, writing, problem-solving and fine motor skills.

Children up to the age of 9 years make greater progress with an adult onsite to encourage their learning efforts while they work offline. The adult can be a parent, grandparent, childminder, or any relative or friend of the family. This person is not required to have any qualifications. The SBL teacher will guide the learning process.

Mentoring

Each child from the age of 7 will be coached individually once per week (we aim to sustain each child to reach their own personal goals). The main focus lies in enhancing the enthusiasm for the child’s learning journey.
